In the Assembly when Mr McTiernan moved Ihe adjournment of the House inn il Wednesday next, Mr Ravin seized the opportunity and moved Ins motion of censure, which has been on the business paper for some time, lie vigorously attacked the Government on the Upper House issue and said that after the defeat, ol Mr Lang’s hill in the Upper House the Premier was placed In such a humiliating and degrading a p isilion as a Premier of a State had never before been in and he cut. the sorriest figure of a Premier that a Premier ol this Stale had ever cut.
The speech was marked by uproar, wherein Mr Ravin was heard to stale that the Premier did mil even pay the country the courtesy of telling il what lie proposed tn do. The Premier showed a. lack of courtesy to everyone in the country and there was only one course to take and that was an appeal to the people. Mi- Bavin’s motion was defeated and the adjournment was carried.
