The Lawn Tennis Assoeiation has doeided that British players he now al- * lowed to compete in tournaments held •*' j„ countries afliliated to the International Federation, irrespective of the nationality of the players competing. The resolution excluding ex-enemv players from competing in open tournaments in Britain remains in force. IVAN DON, April 21. Mr F. M. B. Fisher, the New Zealander, describes the suspension of Jacob Fyr.ee as precipitate and tactless. He understands that association members receive most liberal expenses when travelling abroad on tennis business. The expenses embargo might he extended to embrace Davis Cup players whose full expenses are paid without the players being adjudged professionals. Buies for amateurs differed most widely in footballe and cricket and ~ lawn tennis. The time for a general settlement lias been reached, instead of subjecting players to a governing body’s caprice and bureaucratic methods.
