At first it started out to he a story of bitter, hopeless, undying: love bur. of course it aboutfaced in time for the happy ending. Donncgnn. hitting the vagabond frail in the hope of finding his lost brother, meets, by chance, a girl named Lou Macon and loves her. lie finds out almost at once, that she is in love with somebody else, and because lie cured enough lie was willing to sacrifice his own happiness for hers. Not only that, hut he determined to get her the man she wanted. In doing this lie brought some trouble upon himself. [To came within an inch of losing his own life, but it was all worth while when Lou Macon sat in the sunlight streaming in through the hospital window and told him she loved him. The wild, mining town in which most of the action takes place furnishes many possibilities for picturesque settings. The dance hall, the saloon —all the landmarks of a. typical gold town are thrillingly jiortrnyed. William Wellman. who has been so successful in directing pictures which feature Charles Jones is at his very best' in this “The Vagabond Trail.”

On Thursday Zane Grey’s famous story “To the Last man” starring Richard Dix and Lois Wilson will be the special attraction for picture patrons.
