ANZAC DAY.

COMM ipiOß ATTiON PROGRAMME

Anznc Day falls on Wednesday, April 2oth., a fortnight henc-e, and the following programme of commemoration has been approved by the Mayor .(Mr G. A. Perry).

There will be a military church parade, moving from the Drill Hall at 10 a.m. sharp. The parade will include the returned soldiers, territorials, cadet'-. band. etc. The clergy are being asked to hold services in the respective churches commencing at 10.10 a.m. and lasting about three qaurters of an hour. Subsequent'to the church parade, the procession will reform at the Pioneer's Memorial and march via Eitzlserbert and Hampden Streets to the State School grounds where the school memorial, now in course of erection, will he unveiled. Addresses will he made by the Mayor. Hector, members of the Legislature, and County Chairman, following the unveiling the military procession will reform and move via Hampden St. ami Hall St. to Cass Square. A halt will be made at the Cenotaph when wreaths will be deposited, and tbe memorial saluted. Immediately after the parade wiil move via Wrl.l Street to tbe clock tower, where wreaths will he deposited in memory of those who fell in the South African war.

At 2.30 o’clock in the afternoon the Returned Soldiers will muster at the Town Hall and march via Revel! St.. Stafford Street and Fitzherbcrt St. to the cemetery, where wreaths will be deposited on the graves of comrades interred there.
