Hari Hari Sports have come at their winter game full of “pep.” The Club held ..its annual meeting last week, and there was a large muster of football “fans.” Mr, Secretary Jim Shearer presented a fair credit balance and of course every one was pleasd. The following officers were . qleclbed':—president, T. E. White Esq., a large number of vice-Presid-ents; Chairman J. McKay; Captain— Vic . Pedi azzi; vice-Captain, Jack Searle; Coach, S. Moore. Tt was decided to write to the Sub-Union asking wfiat, arrangements could be made so. that this Club could join the union and become an active Club. As there . is. a membership of 40 it is hoped something, will eventuate and Rugby get a good spin in those parts. Turning to other matters we would like to offer our congratulations to the owner and the genial Alex on the success of “Duart” stock at the recent .show..
The milking season is drawing to a close and the end will he welcomed ,by all. According to the expression of opinion heard on all sides among suppliers there will he some straight . talking ..-.at the annual meeting. The Minister for Public Works honoured,.us with a few short hours when passing through last week. We .were all favourably. impressed with hia attitude in dealing with the various matters., Matters mentioned were a double, telephone line to Ross, the acquisition of land for' a sport’B ground, the completion of .Petersen’s Road. A public meeting was held rocently .re a sports’ meeting and it wan decided to Hold a meeting on the first da v of May. A £SO programme is being provided for (details will be advertised later) and Dave Graham and Merle Fane . were , appointed “dough” .collectors for that end.
