MR P. ROBINSON’S ACCOUNT.
A QUIET DAY. LONDON, April 4. Writing early this morning Mr Pen* Robinson states that yesterday was the quietest day yet. The enemy has temporarily abandoned liis Amiens advance efforts. Ho also seems to realise that our line is firm at the Somme and in the Ancre, and Albert regions. Fresh artillerying at the Scarpe .suggests that the Germans have renewed the attack on A rras and Yimv. He is digging in industriously in other parts.
