The Farmers' Co-operative Society of New Zealand, Xiimifeed, repoirt;— At a!Q our sales heavy yardings of cull <cows ha-v« been coming forward, and w© report big clearances of "boner and old cows to the works, prices feeing on a par with late rulings. Heavy cull vows made £'2 10s to £3, lighter sorts £1 10s: old cows £1. The -weaner heifer market has been very neglected, these making 10s to £1, according to quality. At a dairy heifer iair held last week on account* of Mr A. J. Corrigan, Imglewood, an average of £6 12s 6d was obtained, "best prices ruling about £9. There has not been, great demand for the in-calf heifer y«t, the season being not far advanced and winter still ahead, but we consider there will be a good inquiry for these., -as rig replacements in the dairy herds will be necessary. Weaner steers £1 10s, mixed sex run weaners £2. Slight inquiry for older cattle in this class at late rates. All classes of sheep quoted meet demand, and any lines yarded bring competition, good lambs being £1 to £1 2s, medium sorts 17s &d to 18s (Jd, ci^ls to 13s, good '2-tooth wethers 29s to 20s, fat ewes 25s to 265, empty ewes lorward £1-, fat wethers, 2-tooth 335, 4tooth 355; 4 and 5-year ewes in lam%, 25s
