HAWERA WIRELESS CLUB.

DEMONSTRATION BY Mil ROAVSON.

The wireless demonstration given last night by Mr L., Rowson under the auspices of the Hawera AVireless Club, was a marked success. Music was transmitted from iVLr Rowson's station (2 AX) and was received at the old Technical School building on a fourvalve receiving set, with another two stages of amplification added to operate a magnovox and loud speaker. For the reception of the music a two-foot indoor loop aerial was used: instead of a big outcfoor aerial, aild it was quickly shown when the music was picked up on the tick of 8.30 (the time arranged for) that brick walls, wood and iron do not maJjei any difference in receiving.

The demonstration lasted for an hour, Mr Row son "briefly explaining and commentin<2 on the various broadcasting, stations throughout New Zealand. Some time was also spent by the lecturer in urging upon those present* the desirability of joining the club, and the advantages to be derived therefrom.
