MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING.

HAWERA V. WAVERLEY. On Wednesday night last a number of members of the V\ averley Miniature ilifie Club journey to Hawera and tried conclusions with the local club. On their arrival at the range they were briefly welcomed by the president of the local club, who Avished the visiting team luck in their first outside match. Considering that the Waverley team were on a strange range with different lighting conditions, and also that it was necessary for some of the Waverley members to us-e strange rifles, the match was even close,!- than the. scores indicate. In connection with this'the usual competition for inclusion in the team to- visit Waverley will be held on all shooting nights next' week, and full particulars ■i-jgarding entrance fee and conditions can be obtained from any oi' the shooting committee, and will be posted up on the range.
