July 3 to 7 will be busy days in Hawera during die great i92b Winter ohow, the outstanding feature of which will be the schools section. This is going to draw entries from every school in the Wanganui and Taranaki <&- iriets, and many from other districts. The secretary wishes to urge <?n teachers to let as many children as possible enter, because it gives them a personal interest in the. show and is good, experience for them. It creates a healthy rivalry amongst the children, and spurs them on to do their level best. For girls who have left school and gone in for commercial life a class that should be of great use is that for handwriting, best exhibit of writing by girl in an office or shop. Practice in this useful part of office work Avill lead to great improvement. For the prize-winner a good ?ne iul has been allotted. It is hoped that there will be a strong entry. All interested will note that entries will close on Thursday, June 14, with the secretary, Mr. L. O. Hooker, P.O. box 70, Hawera. All information will be supplied by him on application.
