i I A sitting of the Magistrate's Court was held at Eltham on Tuesday, Mr.' A. M. Mowlem, S.M., presiding. i Thomas White was clfarged with be-' ing found drunk while in charge of a motor-car. The Magistrate imposed a fine of £5, with costs 7s. I ' On the grounds of kis inability to earn sufficient money, Dennis Brew { sought a variation of' a maintenance! order in favour of his wife, Margaret! Brew, the existing order beine; for the1 payment of £1 per week. The order was varied to 10s per week. Judgment for plaintiff by default i; as ! given in the following undefended civil oases: F. Casey v. J. H. Slight, £5 12s (costs £1 17s 6d); Eltham County Council v. Robert Fischer, for balance due, £2 12s 9d (costs £1 19s od) : Charles Potts v. Stanley A. Jenkins and Conrad Hitchcock, against Hitch-' cock for £136 6s (costs £2 2s) f
