Ivor Harwood was charged by th< Probation Officer with changing bis ad dress without giving him notification His Worship stressed the seriousness o the breach, and Harwood was conviete.c and ordered to come up for sentence on June 28, when he would be require< to furnish a statement of bis earning and the amounts paid off certain sums For riding a motor cycle with. n< lights attached, David Walter Law rence was convicted and fined 10s an< 7s court costs. On a further charge o riding his cycle without a rear numbe Lawrence was convicted and fined 5 and 7s court costs. George Dakers, of Kaupokonui, wa charged by the police with, leaving i motor car standing in Princes stree without a rear light. He pleade guilty, and was convicted and fined 5 and 7s court costs. The police proceeded against William J. Melville under section 175 of th Taranaki County Joint By-laws, 1920 for driving a spring cart along th South road with "no lights attached, i plea of guilty was entered, and de fendant was convi"ted and fined £2, 7 court costs, and 10s .police expenses. Judgment for the plaintiff, with cost against the defendant, was given i each of the following undefended civ: cases: John E. Murray v. Billy Ngeru claim £6 18s 8s; Geo. Syme and C< v.
