+ MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. At a meeting of the executive of the Egmont A. and P. Association there were present: Messrs H. Middleton (chairman), E. A. Washer S. Blake, F. Gillanders, Geo. Ford, _>. Crocker, B. C. Lysaght, and A. Coleman. Apologies were received for the absence of Messrs .0. H. Washer and H. L. Spratt. Correspondence with Dustrhs, Ltd., in reference to the catering was read. Th© executive had desired to exclude from the privileges -to Dustin's the sale of ice creams, soft drinks, and sweets, but this was not acceptable to the latter, who were finally granted the whole of the catering and selling privileges. The charges agreed upon are: Breakfast 2s, luncheon 2s 6d, and afternoon tea Is 3d. The disposal of the licensed booth privileges were left in the hands of Messrs Gillanders, Ford, and the secretary. It was left with Mr. Middleton to interview the railway traffic manager at Wanganui with a view to having the same provision made for visitors by train to the show as was made last year. ; The secretary stated that he had been in communication with Palmerston North and the local police with regard \ to the control of side shows, and, after some discusion, the matter was left in abeyance. The secretary was requested to write to the Ha,wera Citizens' Band asking for a statement of the terms on which the band would play at the show. The plans and specifications for the new offices were discussed, and a resolution was passed advancing the proceedings in connection with the matter a stage further. It was resolved that Mr. E. Dixon, M.P., be requested to extend an invitation to the Prime Minister to open the show on the second day. Four resignations were received, and the following new members were elected : Messrs R, Pickford and E. W. Allen (Kapiini), W. Potts (Kakaramea), ! and W. J. Butler (Hawera).
