THE FUTURE OF POLO
The. cutting down of the strength of our cavalry regiments—a comprehensive scheme of amalgamations has Just been made public by the War Office—has caused some .-misgivings as to the future of the gamegof polo in England. A recent ArmyT)rder would seem to indicate that the military authorities have not overlooked the fact that the game might suffer in'these circumstances, for it states that officers may b© permitted, at the discretion of General Officers Cbmmanding-in-Chief, •to use troop horses for polo, provided that such, use will not interfere 'with the military work t>f the horses. The charge for hire is to> be £4 for the season for each horse to be used for polo
