CRICKET.
Wednesday cricketers had an enjoyable practice/ match at King Edward Park Yesterday "afternoon, and thougb> but few of the players were in form the game was not without incident. The wicket "kicked" somewhat, due to numerous "pockets," and Saxon Jones received a painful smack on the hand, tearing the flesh on-the thumb. Worrall, Horton and Mills bowled too well for the opposing side, whose jSrsi innings realised 52 runs (Sargent 11, Johnson 19). In the second "the howlers disposed of the side for 21 (Silson 11)., Worrall/ with more than his share of luck, hit hafil and often for SO before Silson bowled- him "with a good length ball. Mills 14, Parfitt 19 (not out), Pascoe 10^ an&'^uirTjO were the other double figure contributors to the total of 130. The bowlers who secured the wickets were Johnson, AT&in, Vinnicomhe, Silson, Saxon Jones, and Sargent. " • ■ - \.
