A CHARGE WITHDRAWN.

AUCKLAND. Oct. 12. The charge against Martha Jane O'Shaughnessy of having caused' the death of Elsie May Fraider by omitting to perform a legal duty, "was today withdrawn by the Crown, the death of accused's daughter, Mrs. Imrie, having altered the whole aspect of the case. Mr. Singer, for the accused, asserted that there Was no evidence of neglect against either of the accused women, the allegation being that a doctor should have been called in sooner. Mr. Poynton, S.M., agreed to the charge being withdrawn.
