OPIUM SMUGGLER GOES TO GAOL
, . WELLINGTON, Oct. 12. Colin Clyde Hemus, a seaman, who had seven tins of opium in his possession when arrested, was fined £50 or two months' imprisonment for smuggling. Charges under the Customs and anti-opium legislation were withdrawn. Hemus elected imprisonment.
