Old, IV Johnstone, R. Watkins. ii. Uainpbell, O. MaiuGregor, and L. Wales weTe also present. (Jori-espondence was read from the Wanganui Defence Kifle Club re the formation of a district union, the proposed district to extend from Waveriey to Bulls. Mr. Wales moved that the scheme be given every support. Seconded by Mr. F. Christensen and carried. Messrs W. H. Watkins and S. Hone were appointed delegates to attend any future meetings. The National Rifle Association wrote giving particulars of their activities and asking for members. Several members were enrolled. Mr. Watkins brought forward the question of forming a miniature rifle club. It was pointed out that the R.S.A. were moving in that direction, and after some discussion Messrs Watkins, W. J. Johnston, T." Johnston, and D. McGregor were appointed to confer with the R.S.A., with s, view to tlie two bodies working together in connection with the formation of a club. Mr. L. Irvine wjoved and Mr. Wales seconded that where a cartridge is visibly burst owing to fault another shot be allowed. This was carried unanimously. Mi\■Christensen moved that no allowance be made for faulty cartridges. Seconded by .Me. Old and carried.— Press.
