EGMONT-WANGANUI CLUB

The Egmont-Wanganui Hunt Club held their opening hunt at Messrs Lupton's, Stanley Park, Waverley, on ; ( Saturday last in perfect weather. By noon a big crowd of horsemen had gathered at the homestead, waiting for the "throw off." A good afternoon's sport was evident by the way the ■ hounds took to work. Under Hunts-* man Smjjih Jhey seemed very £een, and Soon got on the scent. By four o'clock the big crowd had ' returned to the homestead, where the delightful afternoon tea provided by the Misses Lupton was partaken of. The master^ in a neat speech, thanked the hostesses for their kind and liberal entertaining, alsd the owners of the property hunted over. Mr. Lupton suitably acknowledged the kind remarks.
