Splendid entries have been received for the chopping events, constituting a record in the history of Te Kiri. Final meetings have been held of the various committees and everything is well in hand. For the tug-o'war the crack Tirimoana team have entered and are coming out, and there should be a good pull with the *Taungatara team. Neither team have ever been beaten. Arthur Crawford's1 fine team are also coming along to do something good. Mr L. Keardon and P. H. Holmes, of Opuriake, will control the tug-o'-war. Mr Keardon made quite a name for himself in Opunake last winter by his fairness and impartial decision. The ladies promise something very good in, the luncheon hall, and'they are specialising in pies, etc. The first event starts at 11 a.m. sharp. Nominations for ringside events close at 11 a.m.
