MEETING OF HOUSEHOLDERS

ARARATA

In common with other school districts under the Taranaki Education Board, the annual meeting of householders in the Ararata school district was held on Monday in the schoolroom ior the purpose of electing a school committee. The report and accounts tor the past year were presented and approved. During the year the committee had much improved the appearance of the school grounds by the erec tion of a neat, substantial fence,- and votes of thanks were passed to Mr. Grant for his efforts in laying out and erecting the same, and to Mr. Rasmussen for kindly painting the gates and fences.

The election resulted in the old members 4 of the committee, namely, Messrs J. Grant (chairman), P A Lundberg (hon. secretary), A. Larcom, J. Lippmgwell, and J. Campbell beinoreappointed to office.
