The second day of ike Australian Jockey Club's autumn meeting was lield to-day. The weather .was fine and ■warm, and the course in .excellent condition. The attendance was 80,000.
The programme proved intensely interesting, possibly due to the extra elusiveness on the part of most of the ■winners. Prince Charles' Cup victory surprised the visitors, who failed to give the winner the customary <cheer when returning to scale. Stern countenances to-day formed a marked contrast to Saturday's jubilant note, indicating clearly the tuna of Fortune !s wheel against the spectators. .New Zealand's lonely representative, Solfanello, wa3 a non-starter in .the Flying. Details of the racing .are.: Flying Handicap—Dunwil 1, LisnaTaue 2, Etive 3. Eighteen .starters. Braehead took charge early in the jaee, bait Dunwil, going to the ±ront at the half distance, won by a Hang hsad. 1.13£.
-Champagne Stakes—Bosina 1, Sir Andrew 2, Belambi 3. JSTine .starters. Salrak was first away and led into the straight. The race was y,e.ry open at the distance, and was <xron by a Ite^d. Time, 1.13f.
