STANDARD OF LIVING
SYDNEY, April 13. Speaking at J;he show luncheon, Mr. IHughes declared that they must maintain the Australian standard of living. He strongly opposed bringing it down ; "but the idea of not doing a fair day's work must go, and go quickly. Only for mutual concessions, between employer and employee could the standard of living and the progress of the <country be maintained.
