TAEANAKI TOURNAMENT

The entries for the Taranaki Easter tournament have closed with 93 entries, as against 70 last year. This ia most satisfactory, and with fine weather the tournament should be the best yet held by the New Plymouth Club. Play begins on Saturday, and will be continued on Monday and Tuesday.

The following visitors from outside of the province have entered: Dr Webster, G. F. Johnston, G. N. Pharazya, C. M. Turrell (Wellington), E. G. Sim, W. L. Fitzherbert, F. H. Ctfoke, S. W. Eapley, A. E. Ekstedt, H. Young, A. Seifert (Palmerston North), Dr. E. Wright (Napier), F. G. Bevan, E. P. Giblin, H. Williams, F. Turnbull, L. J. Verry, D. H. McKay, E. M. Silk, C. J. Eoss, Dr. D. Wilson, J. Harold (Wanganui), W. E. Cartliew, N. J. Stitchbury, D. Pryde, P. G. Miles (Feikling), and P. Prichard (Dannevirke). W. O'Callaghan (Hawera), who has recently returned from a trip to England, will also be a competitor.
