BOOKMAKER FINED.
AUCKLAND, March 27
At the Police Court, Charles Philpott was charged with.betting tote odds, and was fined £60 for three offences, and Sidney Clyde Hanton was committed for trial on a charge of bookmaking. In the case of Philpott. the police found on him books, wit 1 * credit and debt clips, showing a credit of £685.
