(BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.)
HASTINGS, March 27
An outbreak of fire occurred at 1.30 a.m. in the factory at Hastings of the Timber and Joinery Company's yards. The fire started in the factory, which, together with valuable machinery and manufactured stock valued at £3000, was completely destroyed, and practically all the stacked timber in the yards. The dried timber shed, glass store, and the company's cooperage were saved by the brigade. The origin of the fare is a mystery. The insurance was £175 on the building and £450 on the machinery in the South British.
