ELTHAM CLUB.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) The Eltham croquet ladies challenged a team of bowlers to play a match on the local green yesterday (Friday), the results being as follow: — Doubles —Mesdames Ross and McKay 26 v. Mr. "Carmam and Dr. Boyd 8; Mesdames Martin and Carter 26 v. Messrs Astbury and Wylds 17: Mesdames Judd and O'Hagan 23 v. Messrs Fountaine and Judd 26; totals, ladies 75. gents 51. Singles^—Mrs. Ross 26 v. Mr. Carman 15; Mrs. McKay 26 v. Dr. Boyd 15; Mrs. Carter 26 v. Mr. Wylds 14; totals, ladies 78, gents 44. In the course of a few days it is intended to play three more singles. On Wednesday next a tournament match will be played for Mrs. Hawkins' i trophy.
