; f . OPPOSITION TO TREATY. BT CABLE— ?RBSB * SSOC? ATION—COPYKTOTIT ■ ■•* " . WASHINGTON, Oct. Id. Opposition to the ratification of the German treaty is now so strong, due to the activities of ex-President Wilson,. that it is causing Republican leaders great concern. They feel after the canvass that all the votes for ratification will not show a majority of more' than three. Therefore they have decided to postpone the final vote until Wednesday, and possibly until later. It is understood President Harding urged Governor Sproud, of Pennsylvania, to -appoint the Jate Senator Konx's successor quickly in order to assure that the greatest : number <>f Republicans wfll'be present in the event of the possible absence of some Senator during the vote. i :a— ———— ff a
