GRADING OF TEACHERS
J AMENDED REGULATIONS. , Amended regulations for the grading of teachers and regulations for appeals of teachers against their classification or grading have been gazetted. In respect to the grading of teachers it is provided that certificated teachers employed on the staff of a normal school shall be placed in groups as follow: £220-£250, £240-£270, £260-£2 80, : grading group 3; £290-£3lO, £300- i £320, £320-£340, £340-£3 80, group 4: ; £350-£390, group 5. ' , Certificated teachers who are for the 1 'time heing employed in secondary ] schools, technical schools, or private i registered schools, or who have not < been in the employment of an educa- i tion board for a period of three years i preceding the date of their application 1 for grading, may be placed in such 1 groups as shall, on the recommenda- { tion of an inspector of schools, Jbe ap- £ proved by the director, and such £ grading shall be deemed a provisional £ grading. \ Clause 13 of the regulations is a amended by the addition of the fol- -v j Wing proviso: "Provided that teach- c ing service in other countries or in ] I schools other than public schools shall c be counted to an extent that shall be t determined in each case by the Direc- li tor." - ,j : ! s
