'[, A pretty wedding was celebrated on October 3 at the Presbyt'enac? Church, Manaiaj '-;. when Doris- Maj} - Isefcond. daughter of-Mrs Jamesydf lhaiia.^ was married to Alexander JSuchan, son of Mr Cameron, of Kapuni. The Jtev. D. Smith performed the ceremony, and Miss L. Dickson, of Hawera, presided at tlje organ. The pride, who wasgiven away by her uncte, Mr A. James, looked charming.in a gown of white crepe de chine, with silver trimmings and orange blossoms. She also, wore the usual veil and carried a pretty shower bouquet. The bridesmaid, Mis* Muriel James, was attired in an apricot gown of crepe de chine ; handsomely embroidered, with royal blue hat trimmed with berries. She also car- . ried a shower bouquet, the gift of Mi* E. C. Evans, Auroa. Miss Lorrain© James.arid Miss "Winnie Cameron, who acted as flower girls, were dressed alik<* in cream lace frocks and both carried flower baskets. The bridegroom wasattended by his brother, Mr Cameron, as best man,, and Mr L. James, Brother of the bride, as. groomsman. A reception was afterwards held at theresidence of the bride's mother. Thepresents were numerous "and costly, including many cheques. Later in the day* the happy couple left for T^augamii, the bride travelling in a niggerbrown costume.
