Mr Craigie informed th© Minister that public subscriptions were being raised for the widow and children, and asked that the Government should subsidise the total received The Minister informed Mr Craigie thaf definite provision had been mad© by to the widow and children. These cases received the same pension as for the widow of a deceased soldier —namely, £2 a week for the widow, and 10s for each child under fourteen. In this case the total would be £3 10s weekly.
