COLLAPSE OF A BRIDGE

NEW YORK, Sept. 10. According to a message from Chester, Pennsylvania, twenty men, women, and children are known to have been drowned, and at least twenty more are believed to be at the bottom of a tributary of the Delaware River, as the result of an old wooden bridge collapsing. , A little boy had fallen into the water, and crowds congregated en the bridge to watoh the rescue, with the result that the structure bacome overloaded. Besides the above casualties forty persons were Injured.
