The "soccer" team is contributingtowards the reputation of Hawera as a. *" football community./ -Qil;-Saturday the team journeyed^ to Stratford, and after a .hard game defeated the Stratford eleven by one goal. Once again the Hawera representatives played with several reserves,-and fheir chances of winning when the game started seemed very slight. However, they played surprisingly well and scored a creditable - win. Stratford kicked off, having the advantage of a strong breeze.
