TOURNAMENT AT NEW PLYMOUTH

A_ final reminde,r is given of the bis boxing tournament which is to be held in the Coronation Hall, New Plymouth, to-morrow night. This will make a good finish to the Coursing Club's meeting. The programme arranged by the Taranaki Boxing Association is an excellent one/ The big professional bout between Laurie Cadman and Len McAsey is being eagerly looked forward to, as both men are in the front rank of the boxing world. Cadman is the idol of the Auckland public, while McAsey holds a similar place in Taranakt, where he was born. A win by McAsey would be hailed with enthusiasm. The association also claim that the y have arranged the best amateur programme yet submitted by them. Every bout will be interesting and full of excitement. Auckland's popular referee, Mr. Frank: Burns, will have control of the ring and it will be his first visit to Taranaki in that capacity. Everything points to the tournament being a great success.
