Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd.., report having received the following cable from their London house, under date of 7th inst.: "We quote present value of New Zealand prime crossbred lamb Is Id per lb; New Zealand prime crossbred mutton Bfd, heavy 6£d, ewes 5Jd to 6d, demand running chiefly on lightweights. Beef prices are unchanged. Tallow: There were 1900 casks offered and 1200 casks sold.. Market irregular. Since our last wire mutton tallow prices are 6d higher,1 good colour mixed and beef prices unchanged, low and inferior descriptions 6d lower.' 3
