VISIT TO TAWHITI SCHOOL,

The Hon. C. J. Parr, accompanied by Mr. F. Dixon, M.P., Messrs P. J. H. White, chairman .of the Education Board. F. Gillanders, chairman of the Hospital Board, G. H. Buckeridgej chairman of the advisory committee to the Technical School, visited the Tawhiti. school yesterday afternoon. He was met by Messrs T. H. Walker, chairman, and Messrs Lewis and Winks, members of the committee. Mr. Walker placed before the Minister the wishes of the committee in respect to the acquisition of additional pounds. Mr. Walker explained that the committee had the offer of two- sections with a local area of half anv_ere which could be obtained at a Cosi&W £440. He asked the Minister if 1 would make a grant-that would enaV the committee to complete the purchase He suggested that the Department find half the money and the committee the I balance. ...
