Dairy farmers and others should not miss the opportunity of inspecting the Austral Kerosene Engine, which is being exhibited by the Fanners' Co-op., Ltd., who are the local agents. This [ engine starts on benzine and when sufficiently heated is turned over to Kerosene, is a straight-out kerosene proposition, and the absence of carbonising and becoming dirty is one of its features. The benzine is used only when starting, and the engine being fitted with one- of the best British magnetos makes it possible for any boy or girl from 10 to 12 years of age to start with the greatest ease. The manufacturers of Austral kerosene engines—which are made in sizes from 3-h.p. to 35-h.p., are Messrs RonaMson Bros, and Tippett, Ltd., of Ballarat, Victoria, the largest makers of kerosene engines in the southern hemi-. ! sphere, and the wonderful demand for j their engines, in Australia by farmers and dairymen, and the fact that the Commonwealth Government and various State Governments have ms-talled no less than £30,000 worth of Austral engines for all departments <\f Service, including lighthouses, goes. ± o prove the superiority of Austra\ engines.
