The Australian /jPress Association^ learns that as India, objected to a clause in the Japanese Treaty, whereby the latter agreed to assist Britain in the event of serious trouble in India, the British Government decided to modify it in th^ direction of satisfying Indian sentiment.
It is understood Prince- Hirohito's visil to England made at 'the suggestion of the British Government with the deliberate intention of strengthening ithe case for renewal.
