j The dates fixed for the 19th National Dairy Show, inaugurated by the Manawatu and We< t Coast Past-oral Association, are the 21st. 22nd, 23rd. and 24th June. The two schedules for the event, poultry and general, have now been issued. It is at this show that the wellknown football match between Wan^anui Collegiate School and Te Aute College is played on the second day. This year the association has also arranged for a match between the first fifteen of the Palmerston North High School and a team from Scots College, Wellington On the third day there are to be horse t competitions, which include a pony , leaping competition. The '-'Watson Cup" is offered for competition to the best lady rider. The cup becomes the property of the fair ridei- who wins it three times. Apple growers have every opportunity of carrvmi; off many valuable trophies. Messrs Blundell Bros have again donated a trophy valued at twe.ve guaieas to the winner of the apple championship. The conditions of the apple championship are six distinct varieties, ten of each.
