SAVINGS BANK DEPOSITS
LARGE INCREASE.
(BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, May 9. For the March quarter Savings Bank deposits showed an excess over withdrawals of £391,643, against £100,000 in the preceding quarter. The total amount to the credit of depositors was £42,963,965, against £19,048,028 at the same date in 1914.
