The Republican records for high protective tariffs will be broken by the new Permanent Tariff Bill now in committee. The schedules generally average aibove the Payne-Aldrich Bill of 1909. According to the present draft wool will be taxed as follows: Greasy, 11 cents per lb, washed 22 cents per lib, scoured 33 cents per lfe. Sugar 'will ibe taxed 2 cents per lb. Tariffs on agricultural products, however, will ibe slightly lower than the emergency tariff.
