ELTHAM 111. v. STRATFOR.D HIGH SCHOOL.
Eltham thirds played Stratford' High School at Tauinata Park, Eltham, on Saturday, and an: interesting and eveii game resulted. In the first spell Eltham had the best of the play, Chris-' t'ian scoring a try and converting a free kick. Foster also scored. Gathro scored a try for Stratford. In the ■second half Stratford were much more aggressive, and with* the sun in- their faces Eltham had an anxious time during fohe last 15 minutes. Webster scored for Stratford and McALister added tho major points. The game ended Eft-ham 9. Stratford 8. Mr Blanchard was referee. HAWERA 111. v. OKAIAWA 111. This game [was played as a curtain raiser to the senior match at Okaiawa, and resulted in a win for Okaiawa by 11 points to 7. Haiweia gained all their poinlts in the first spell, a try and a potted goal 'by Foden, wmle Okaiawa failed to .score. In the second spell Okaiawa .scored three tries, two iby W. Johnston and one by I>. Isaac, the last one ibeing converted by Ward. Mr Jas. Johnstone was an impartial xeferee.
