TAXI ACCIDENT
TOPPLES OVER BANK. '
SEVERAL INJURED
(BY TELEGUAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.") NAPIER, May 5. Whilst proceeding on a slippery road between Mohaka and Napier to-day a taxi skidded and toppled over a bank, ■turning three somersaults. A passenger named E. Harris suffered internal injuries and injuries to the scalp and spine, and nis condition is serious. A returned soldier named Taylor sustained a broken leg and concussion. The driver, Willis, was badly shaken. The sufferers were conveyed to the Wairoa Hospital.
Another car almost repeated the/performance of the first, skidding in the same way, but its progress stopped after one wheel had gone over the edge of the bank.
