At yesterday's meeting of the Wanganui- Waitotara Patriotic Asosciation, the chairman (Mr T. B. Williams) referred in sympathetic terms to the regrettable death of Mr W. D. Powdrell, M.P. for Patea. Mr Williams eulogised tbe deceased gentleman's estimable qualities as a public man, and on his motion it was resolved that the secretary convey to the bereaved relatives an expression of the Association's sincere ■ sympathy and condolence.
