A teacher . from Taranaki who travelled to Sydney with the N£w Zealand teachers' cricket team, which played several matches with the Australian teachere, states that the members-iad a splendid tour. Among other games which the team played one was on the Sydney Cricket Ground just after the test match. Hot weather wag experienced for the first fortnight, the majority of the Now Zealanders getting] a gastric trouble, owing probably to the water and heat. The writer . states: I "Prices for foodstuffs are higher than here, but clothing, and more especially j leather goods, is much cheaper. The j telephone system is 'rotten,' but the suburban trains are excelfent. We hacl J some splendid harbour trips and.were/ entertained right royally."
