METHODIST CHURCH
ANNUAL GARDEN PARTY.
The annual garden party of the Hawera Methodist Y.W. Bible Class was neld on Wednesday afternoon in the grounds qf Mr and Mrs Bates, Disraeli street V anous stalls were arranged around the spacious tennis lawn, and tea was served during the proceedings lhe_Rev. A. Liversedge conducted tha pnet opening ceremony. Unfortunately, the fine weather brpke about the time of opening, though a fair company assembled, and the sum of £32 ys 6d was received. An orchestra consisting of Miss Homer (pianist), Mr Ipveday (violinist), and Mr Cook (cornet player) entertained the guests with several excellent selection! Three hearty cheers were given for Mr and Mrs Bates and family and the orchestra.
