ENTERTAINMENTS

CATHOLIC SOLDIERS' MEMORIAL

At the concert arranged for to-mor-row (Tuesday) evening in aid, of the Catholic Soldiers' Memorial, to be held in the Grand Theatre, a very fine programme is promised. Mr Gormley has secured the assistance of Mr Stanley Pritchard, Auckland's well-known baritone; Messrs T. and G. Harvey, of Dunedin, popular singers in that city; and Mrs E. Leydon, a leading soprano of Palmerston North. In addition several of the best of the singers of Hawera, including Mrs M. J. Goodson, Mrs F. Wylds, Miss Homer, Mrs Ferry, Mr Gale, and Mr Gormley, will take part. It is confidently expected that the cause, combined with the excellence of the programme, will draw a crowded house.
