AUCKLAND v. NELSON
The first challenge match of the season for the New Zealand hockey shield, between Nelson &nd Auckland, was played on Saturday, Auckland retaining the shield with a score of 7 g<sals to 1. For Auckland goals were scored by Grice (four) Robertshaw, D. Alexander and Maken one each, and for Nelson, by Dee.
