HAWERA MALE CHOIR

FORMATION OF ORCHESTRA

__ The orchestra to be formed in conjunction with the Hawera Male Choir will hoM its first practice to-morrow night. Up to the present twenty-three instrumentalists have intimated their intention of becoming members, and it is surmised that there are several others who will eventually do so. The idea at the back of the scheme is that the orchestra shall be used exclusively- as a concert orchestra, and is not intended to come into competition with any other existing organisation. The music to be taken in hand will be the best possible, and itjs hoped that by strictly adhering to. tnis ideal an institution will be set up that will be of great advantage to the town and district. Membership is to be unlimited and is open to members of either sex. The conductor would be pleased to meet any instrumentalists who have not yet signified their intention of joining, but would like to do so, at the Methodist schoolroom to-morrow night, at 8 o'clock, or, if unable to be present then, to communicate, with him.
