Many friends in this district will learn with sincere regret o? the death at the ripe age of 82 years of Mrs W. McFarland, for many years a resident ■of Hawera district. Mrs McFarland was a lady oi a xii/ost^affeetionate nature, and was beloved t>y aIT who knew hpr. She leaves a family of five — Messrs -Jas. and William McFarland, Mrs Curie, Mrs H. Halliwell, and Miss McFarland. Much^sympathy will be •felt with them in taieir sorrow.
